We'll be hitting the road again, shortly. The kids are worn out and have been sleeping for 12hrs.
Elyse does a fantastic job of wiping them out while I'm busy with work. If you happen to stay at the Grand Vista Hotel in Grand Junction and want to use the pool, know that two little kids with nominal bladder control were in there for hours yesterday.
I was at the office from 7-5:30 yesterday. Recently, in addition to the family business in WI, I started working for Peterson Plumbing, Heating & Cooling here in Grand Junction. It's a good company, and we're looking at some steady growth building in to the summer.
I really like working with the team as "what you do" matters more than "who you are." I've spent the last month or so, getting up to speed and bringing a few processes up to date as well. Now, on this trip, all of those projects will come to fruition...right around when we roll in to "Papa & Grammy's Farm.".
I could have timed that better, but it will actually work out nicely, as it's one of my favorite places to work. The smell of the air, the sound of kids playing outside, the bottomless coffee and whatever Elyse and Chelsea end up baking...yeah, I suffer.
Today, we are hitting up Goblin Valley State Park, Escalante-Staircase National Park, and rolling in to a little hotel outside of Bryce Canyon.
Hannah just woke, so it's go time.
Pics to come...
